Trump is BS

I have followed the US presidential elections campaign from both parties’ early stages and caucuses all the way now to the coming presidential elections in November 2016. I have been amused with American popular media, and most of their advocates, or ‘surrogates’, as they are called. They are simply dumb or simply not honest enough. In the worst case they are blind of reasoning.

Fareed Zakaria, a media personality of CNN who hosts the Global Public Square programme, may have hit the nail on the head for me. He quoted and defined the difference between BS or, bull s**t, in the American lingua franca, against big fat lies. Lying is blatantly stating non-truths as truths. BS on their other hand is simply talking nonsense; whether it makes sense or not, whether as a joke, or even as a conspiracy theory.

Why Trump is BS

When we use the word ‘is’ in a present continuous sense of grammar, it always implies reality in terms of time and space. Reality never stops. Therefore, when I agree that Trump is BS, in agreeing with Fareed Zakaria of CNN; I am actually going one step further. Neither am I a blind supporter of Hillary Clinton. Trump is plainly and clearly too stupid to assume the role as president of the nation-state called USA.

Any US presidential candidate is also provided US security coverage and protection, but what does that entail and why do they do this? It entails millions of dollars of public funds to protect one potential president of the US.

What if that person is not qualified or is totally careless with his language and speech? Does and can such coverage still continue unconditionally? Yes it does and the reason is simply that it is the nature and culture of their democracy; in terms of values and the process for allowing for it.

Therefore, when you have a candidate who speaks nonsense and clearly abusive and careless language, as does Trump, the more important question is whether he has character and personality qualified to be the president of the US?

Spoken word is conduct

I have a serious interest in individual human behaviour and conduct. Action is an important word which always assumes a responsible actor within the realm of personal, volitional, and individual choice-making. Words spoken are akin to action. Then there is group behaviour or conduct. In the life of any public official almost all actions are assumed to be public in nature. But public and private also coincide in public life.

Therefore, unless someone like Trump declares that he is acting only on instinct and not volitionally; he must be responsible for every word and comma he utters. From the real person whom we have watched over the many months, he appears to be an actor in some kind of entertainment show, but one who does not want to be responsible for words uttered rather instinctively. He is a therefore a serious joke.

Even Ronald Reagan, who was a real actor, knew the difference between acting and real life role of the president of United States, but what is it that Donald Trump does not understand? Does he really mean it, that his spoken words are not his own but those of some other person? Why then is he not responsible for the words uttered? Are people wrong to conclude that he is an ethnic bigot and an arrogant person who is not and never can be a team player?

Why such decadence of thinking?

Thinking and rational reasoning is always a captured or acquired art form of an analytical mind. There are limits to human reasoning, but even knowing those limits is always a step of faith at best. So, why should we expect politicians of any colour or shade to be less than fatherly in making promises about the future?

And, like all fathers, they will constantly fail to keep the promises they make. That is why, as Christians, we always turn to the Heavenly Father rather than merely rely on the earthly human father.

Rational and logical thinking is modern and premised upon Logic 101. A thing cannot be and not be at the same time. It cannot be black and white at the same time; unless one calls it grey.

Therefore, I want to congratulate the Malaysian government for introducing computational thinking into primary education system in Malaysia. We, the global community of the modern world, cannot evade or avoid the new reality of the Internet of things.

The new reality is that even our two year old grandchild already knows what is YouTube and can get on their page and make choices at the touch of his finger.

Truthful realities about the modern world

Logic 101 is the foundation of modern scientific thinking. It is such a science which discovered that the sun and not the earth was the centre of the universe. The founders of that New Science and her logic were Galileo and Copernicus; such truths cannot be abused for others. Even by Donald Trump, the billionaire.

Therefore, like with Trump, the Malaysians who want to see and realise a more complex understanding of reality may need more than a Donald Trump for president or even as candidate for our prime ministership.

Truths cannot be mistaken for lies. Founders are always creators, not photocopiers or prime movers. Trump’s is only a capitalist’s argument; with zero credibility or reality. Black cannot be white or become white but light always dispels darkness and it is never the other way around.

Creators are founders when they are given the credit of the science of their discoveries, like Copernicus and Galileo whose science created the instruments which established that same science. So, there are cannot be more deception than that of Trump and his supporters or the poor science-awareness surrogates who are “creating his Obama is creator of IS argument”.

Therefore, I will conclude exactly as Fareed Zakaria already did. Trump is BS.
